Martin Scorsese writes the foreword for 'Glorious Technicolor':
“I see many filmmakers trying to achieve the Technicolor look. However, it’s simply not the same. I’m not being nostalgic – that’s just the way it is. Digital technology can replicate the glow and the vibrance, but it can’t quite achieve the warmth – at least not the same kind of warmth. I don’t regard this as a failing – it’s just a technology that behaves differently”.
