Technicolor worked on the first ever all-talking, all-2-color film ‘On with the Show!’

By the late 1920s, Technicolor had established its trajectory towards cinematic prominence.

Challenged by the industry’s migration to sound, Troland’s technical acumen becomes foundational to the company’s future innovations witnessed in the company’s successful migration into the sound era; its development of 3-strip dye-transfer “IB” imbibition printing; and Technicolor’s further development of IP for “mono-pack” technology that the company eventually licensed to Kodak (in 1931) that which became foundational to the development of 35mm Eastmancolor negative stock.
