Hear from Sheryl Wilson, a Rigging Artist at MPC, why she knew a career in VFX was the right move!
How were you first introduced to visual effects and animation?
I was first introduced to animation as a kid watching animated shows and movies. Slowly my interest in these films grew along with me and as an adult I could see the quality of animation & VFX developing over time.
Why did you decide to pursue a career in VFX and animation?
I was fascinated by the films and games I saw, which made me curious to know how they were created. I was also more interested in learning art and computers rather than other education streams. So, I decided to study computer applications and then animation and VFX, which led me to my current role as a Rigging Artist.
What would your dream project be?
Working at MPC has already given me opportunities to work on significant projects. I would like to continue working on these kinds of projects, and my vision is to improve my skills so I can take on a bigger role in future projects, of any kind. They’re all dream projects in their own way.
