What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?

Face challenges with courage. Embrace mistakes as learning opportunities. Practice regularly to improve your skills and stay curious. Connect with others, collaborate, and welcome feedback. Have confidence in your abilities and keep learning. Trust in your unique journey.

What’s one thing you can’t live without?

I can’t live without my watercolor painting. It’s my favorite hobby and a crucial part of my life. Additionally, maintaining a balanced life and spending time with my family are essential for my happiness and well-being.

Your career highlight to date?

Reaching the milestone of 12 years with Technicolor has been a standout moment in my career.

How did you get into the industry?

My childhood passion for drawing and painting led me to pursue a degree in western painting after high school. After graduation, I started in the film industry’s art department, where I discovered editing and compositing. Fascinated by VFX, I began exploring the field, merging my artistic background with technical skills to build a fulfilling career in visual effects.

What would your dream project involve?

My dream project would involve working on an incredible film or show with top-notch VFX. I aim to lead a skilled team in seamlessly blending real and CGI scenes using advanced techniques, creating realistic and stunning effects that significantly enhance the visual storytelling.

What’s the best thing about Technicolor’s culture?

At Technicolor, everyone is valued and recognized for their talents. Experienced employees help newcomers learn and grow, fostering a respectful, friendly, and supportive environment where everyone can excel.

Your biggest achievement so far?

When I started at Trace VFX, there was no paint department. I was in charge of both the roto and paint departments. With my colleagues’ help, we trained roto artists to become skilled paint artists, ultimately building a team of 80 talented artists. This achievement showcased our leadership, teaching, and teamwork skills, contributing to the company’s creative success.

Share something you learned this week!

This week, I learned about new tools developed by our software team: Gather, Save As, Render, Release, and Multi-Host Plugin. We tested these tools to see how they improve our workflow, highlighting the continuous advancements in technology.

What’s the best thing about your job?

I love my job because it’s always different. Every day brings new and exciting projects, keeping me inspired and never bored. I enjoy creating entertainment for people and learning from each project, working with important clients from around the world.

If you weren’t in this role, what would you be doing?

If I weren’t in this role, I would pursue my passion for painting and become a full-time artist.

What can’t you put down? (book, program, app, podcast)

The YouTube app, because it offers a vast platform to learn various skills and gain knowledge.

Any recent personal goals?

I’ll share it with the world once I have accomplished it.

Tell us a humble brag!

My journey has been rewarding, and I appreciate the gifts and blessings I have received. I am grateful for what I have achieved.

What would your one superpower be?

As an artist, my superpower would be the ability to bring my creations to life, making them exist in the real world with the same beauty and vitality as in my imagination.

When you’re not working on a project, you can be found…

When not working on projects, you’ll find me doing watercolor painting or spending time with my child.
