What piece of advice would you like to give to your younger self?
Animation is a constantly evolving field, with new techniques, software, and tools appearing on a regular basis. Keep up with industry trends, try out new software and techniques, and never stop learning. Embrace curiosity and keep pushing your creative boundaries.
What’s that one thing that you can’t live without?
Well as an animator, I would need a computer with sufficient processing power, memory, and storage. As a person, balance in life and family are two things I could not survive without.
Your career highlights to date ?
A memorable moment in my career occurred when I was two years into my career and was given the opportunity to work on a high-quality project, Marvel DVD, and my Hulk Smashing shot was recognized and praised by clients and superiors.
In the past year, I have also worked on the feature film Ozi, and that’s also an experience that I find quite memorable.
How did you get into the industry?
I remember watching the first animation commercial, Ek Chidiya Anek Chidiya, on Doordarshan when I was a kid, and I can still remember watching it over and over again. Every evening I would wait for the clock to strike five in the evening and then run to the TV to see what Tinky-Winky did or what Baloo from TaleSpin was up to. The whole process of animation fascinated me and I wanted to learn more about how they do it ever since I saw it back then. It was after I graduated high school that I became interested in animation, and now I am part of the industry.
What would your dream project involve?
I am a big Bollywood movie fan. I want to create animated version of popular Hollywood actors with Bollywood flair, incorporating their signature styles and mannerisms. Not only will this make the characters more relatable but it will also provide a delightful fusion of two film cultures.
What is the best thing about Mikros’s culture?
