We connected with teams across our studios to share all you need to know about their role and experience in the company. Today we’re hearing from Tony Choi, who was involved in the expansion to Seoul, South Korea. He discusses his biggest achievements so far as VP Head of Studio at The Mill.
Tell us about your favorite project from The Mill & why you’ve chosen it?
I had to pick “LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT” since this shows our ability in VFX. The creative is unique, and I am proud that I work as part of a team who can create something like this excellent result.
What is your biggest achievement at The Mill so far?
I was involved in setting up the SEOUL office from scratch. Although it’s still a far way to go, the industry needed a high-end infostructure like us in Korea, and I am proud that I am the one who helped make it happen and to be a part of Technicolor Creative Studios’ global expansion, especially in the Asian market.
If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?
Trust your decision! Your first thought is generally right one!!
What excited you the most about working at Technicolor Creative Studios?
Technicolor Creative Studios hold companies like THE MILL / MPC / MIKROS ANIMATION / TECHNICOLOR GAMES – you will be lucky to work on one of them but due to an all-in-one family you can expand your idea beyond imagination, working alongside creative, award-winning talent and this is the most exciting opportunity.
What are your predictions for the world of VFX in 5 years?
The young generation like to be themselves and tend to create their own world. Therefore, the market needs to create more content creation methods. As content methods and media change, content creation demands will be increased.
