August was red-hot! MPC broke the internet with the release of three highly anticipated trailers: Mufasa: The Lion King, Disney’s Snow White, and Kraven the Hunter. The Mill released a sizzling series of projects, including the epic ‘VALORANT Console Launch‘. Mikros Animation stole our hearts with the worldwide release of Ozi, Voice of the Forest, and Technicolor Games turned up the heat with the release of Madden NFL 25.
To top off a fire month, MPC, The Mill, and Mikros Animation all received nominations at the AEAF Awards and Technicolor Group revisited our iconic history that has redefined visual experiences. Dive in as we prepare to celebrate 110 years of unstoppable innovation and creativity.

MPC
Under Paris is the second most watched non-English movie of all time on Netflix! The film features 677 VFX shots in all, produced in collaboration between the MPC Paris and Liège, Digital District and UFX teams. Under Paris joins the ranks with MPC’s esteemed work Wednesday, which holds its crown as Netflix’s most watched TV series of all time.

MPC received 10 nominations across various categories at the AEAF Awards! Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Special Merit winners will be revealed on October 11.
Three highly anticipated trailers showcasing MPC’s exceptional skills took the world by storm.
Disney unveiled the official trailer for Mufasa: The Lion King at D23. In theatres December 2024.
The enchanting teaser trailer for Disney’s Snow White also premiered at D23. In theatres March 2025.
Prepare to meet one of Marvel’s most iconic villains with the captivating trailer for Kraven the Hunter. In theatres December 2024.
Three outstanding projects from MPC Paris & Liège are being showcased at the 81st Venice International Film Festival.
Vermiglio, directed by Maura Delpero, will be in competition. MPC took care of dailies transfer, colour grading by Veronica Tiron and deliverables for this film.
The short film Allégorie Citadine, directed by Alice Rohrwacher and JR, will be presented out of competition in the Fiction section. MPC contributed by producing the visual effects (VFX) and ensuring part of the image post-production.
Little Jaffna, Lawrence Valin‘s first film, will be shown in world premiere as the closing film of the Semaine de la Critique. MPC took care of the rushes, confo, colour grading on Resolve by Fabien Pascal, as well as the deliverables.
Four superb MPC projects will be showcased at the 49th annual Toronto International Film Festival.
Emilia Pérez will have its Canadian Premiere. Exhilarating and piercingly resonant, the latest from director Jacques Audiard audaciously merges pop opera, narco thriller, and gender affirmation drama.
Daniela Forever will have its world premiere. In the latest from Nacho Vigalondo, Henry Golding soulfully portrays a bereaved man who enrolls in a clinical trial for a drug that allows him to reunite with his lost lover through lucid dreams.
Vermiglio will have its North American premiere. Told in four chapters, each set in a different season, Maura Delpero’s stunningly beautiful and powerful new film takes us into the world of a remote Italian mountain village.
Little Jaffna will also have its North American premiere. Lawrence Valin makes an impressive debut, directing and acting in this dynamic, socio-political crime drama about a police officer who infiltrates a Tamil gang in Paris.

In present-day Mexico, lawyer Rita receives a surprising offer. She must help a feared cartel boss in leaving the criminal world behind and vanishing for good, by becoming the woman he’s always dreamed of being.
Immerse yourself in the dastardly world of The Boys Season 4 with this epic VFX breakdown. MPC created VFX and animation for the tentacle-faced superhuman abilities and multiple scenes featuring Ambrosius the Octopus.
Discover how MPC brought Dark Matter to life, crafting some of the show’s most complex and dramatic sequences, including Ash World, Water World, and World 26.
MPC has strengthened its global leadership team with key hires and strategic promotions.
Industry veteran Amy Jupiter joins MPC as Executive Vice President of Creative, Innovation & Strategy. Jupiter will work across the company’s creative, technology and production management leadership to continue MPC’s legacy of creating an environment that encourages collaboration and nurtures creativity, and help drive the team’s collective approach toward achieving breakthrough solutions in visual effects.
Alexandra Daunt Watney and Luke Groves will step into the roles of Global Heads of Production, while Sal Umerji takes on the role of Chief Operating Officer.
In their new roles as Global Heads of Production, Groves and Daunt Watney will lead MPC’s worldwide production efforts. They will oversee the company’s VFX production pipeline, ensuring seamless operations and delivering innovative solutions to complex filmmaking challenges.
As COO, Sal Umerji will continue to leverage his extensive expertise to enhance the studio’s global operations, streamline production processes, and foster innovation.

The Mill India collaborated with Grammy Award winner Ricky Kej on a beautiful rendition of the Indian National Anthem. The team created the stunning VFX and animation, capturing the essence of India. From majestic landscapes to vibrant cultural elements, the visuals seamlessly integrate with the music, enhancing the pride associated with the national anthem.
Mill+ director David Lawson partnered with Riot Games once more to craft the phenomenal launch trailer for VALORANT‘s highly awaited debut on consoles.

Mikros Animation
It’s been a long time coming… Ozi, Voice of the Forest has swung into theatres worldwide! Directed by Tim Harper, the film shines a light on the threat of deforestation and the challenges facing rainforest ecosystems. Mikros Animation oversaw creative development and CGI animation by 300 global experts, emphasising storytelling and social causes.

To celebrate, Signature released an exclusive clip from Ozi, Voice of the Forest.
