Young artists gain valuable insights into the industry

December 12, 2022

It was an insightful experience for Technicolor Group to be a part of the #VFXSummit2022 where young artists gained insights from industry mentors through interactive sessions, workshops and networking opportunities.

The keynote address by Biren Ghose, Managing Director, APAC, Technicolor Group provided attendees an overview of the latest technological and policy developments in the fields of business, technology, and the arts.

Additionally, Biren was a panelist on “National XR Policies,” discussing how extended reality enables organizations to achieve impossible feats in the virtual world through fully immersive experiences or blending virtual and real environments.

Sandeep Sharma, Head of Academies-India, participated in a panel discussion on “Reforming the academia to meet industry demand”. The speakers discussed the importance of imparting knowledge and skills in Visual Effects (VFX) to more young aspirants, as they are the driving phenomenal growth in the industry with their unique and innovative stories.

We were joined by colleagues Ari Podreider Lenzi, Head of Creative, The Mill and Rutvit Barot, Head of Creative Operations, MPC. They shared exciting glimpses into projects worked on at MPC and The Mill, and had an interactive session with the audience.

We also had the chance to celebrate a win for the Technicolor Academy team, trainer Bhushan Patil was awarded an Excellence Award at the VFX Summit for his work in the VFX category!
